Quick Navigation
ArgoVPN on PC is a tool to bypass Iran’s Internet censorship which is designed and developed by the Filtershekanha team, Download the app now.
A standard internet connection is not encrypted by default, and it goes directly from your device to the destination website, app, or service.
A virtual private network (VPN) extends a private network across a public network and enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network. Applications running across a VPN may therefore benefit from the functionality, security, and management of the private network. Encryption is common, although not an inherent, part of a VPN connection.
VPN technology was developed to provide access to corporate applications and resources to remote or mobile users, and to branch offices. For security, the private network connection may be established using an encrypted layered tunneling protocol, and users may be required to pass various authentication methods to gain access to the VPN.
In other applications, Internet users may secure their connections with a VPN to circumvent geo-blocking and censorship or to connect to proxy servers to protect personal identity and location to stay anonymous on the Internet. Some websites, however, block access to known IP addresses used by VPNs to prevent the circumvention of their geo-restrictions, and many VPN providers have been developing strategies to get around these blockades.
Both Tor and a VPN encrypt data before it leaves your device, then route it through proxy servers to mask your IP address and location. Incoming data goes through the same process in reverse.
Their team has added different features to ArgoVPN for Windows that are usually only available in commercial VPNs. It has a built-in firewall that allows you to block certain websites, so those addresses will remain blocked as long as you are connected to the VPN’s servers.
Also, we have a public repository that allows users to block phishing and malware websites on the VPN’s connection. This repository will be updated by the VPN’s community and will help the users to improve their safety on the Internet.
It is also capable of excluding specific URLs. For example, you can exclude the download websites, which are not blocked, in the “exceptions” list. This feature ensures when you are connected to the Internet through ArgoVPN for PC, the specified website’s traffic will not pass via its tunnel.
DNS server, DNS leak prevention, Kill-Switch (STILL IN BETA STAGE), excluding particular apps from ArgoVPN’s tunnel are other features that have been provided in ArgoVPN.
But the most important feature of ArgoVPN is its security and respecting user’s privacy. After connecting to ArgoVPN PC app, your connection is encrypted using AES-GCM-128 OR ChaCha20-Poly1305 ciphers.
The choice of the cipher is made automatically based on your smartphone’s processor architecture so that the highest Internet speed possible for accessing online services is provided to you. After each connection, your connection’s encryption key will be randomly generated (which is different from your last connection). This is done with the use of our exclusive protocol called Argo Authenticator.
This protocol is designed by The Filtershekanha team with the goal of endpoint server authentication and secure & fast encryption key exchange between the client and server.
